Try Skating For FREE!


Saturday 10:45am-11:15am

Learn how to ice skate for free!! We supply the coaches and skates and you participate in a fun filled 1/2 hour class!!! So take a break from the heat and cool off at the coolest place in Brevard!!! See you Saturday at 10:45am!!!

Spring Break Camp


Beginner Skating Camp

The Beginner Christmas Camp is for skaters just starting out through Basic 8 Class Level. Our unique camp teaches essential skills to help kids enjoy the sport of skating to their full potential while having tones of fun!!! On Friday participants will perform for their parents what they have learned through out the week!!!

Hockey Camp

Hockey camp is for players just starting out and have at least some knowledge of skating. They must be able to stand up and skate forward on their own in order to participate. The minimum equipment is helmet, gloves, stick, shin pads and skates. SCI is not responsible for lending equipment, you must have your own. Our experienced staff is excited to work with your kids to help develop their skills while having a bunch of fun!!!

New Figure Skating Coaches

SCI is excited to welcome two coaches onto our Figure Skating Coaching Staff! Both coaches will be working with the skaters in the group classes and will be available for private lessons.  

Claudine Mascia


Over 20 years of experience in competitive, theatrical and instructional ice skating.  Accomplishments include: Three time National Champion, four-time Regional Champion and three- time District Champion. Performances include 2 years of show skating with Holiday on Ice throughout South America

Ice skating institute (ISI) highest test passed was freestyle 8. Competed in ISI and USFS, both Figures Skating (formally USFSA) competitions. Completed and passed all levels of USFS, both Figure and Free skate through Senior level.

Over 10 years of ballet, jazz and weight training gives me extensive knowledge and technique on stretching, weight training and nutrition to help guide and direct all of my beginning and advanced students to achieve their goals in ice skating.  Being bilingual also allows me to communicate with Spanish students and parents.

 Jim Millns


Olympic Medalist, Jim Millns has experienced the highest of success in every category of skating, from tester, competitor, performer, judge/official, and coach.

  • Profession Skaters Association Level V coach – Internationally ranked with a Master rating
  • Trained skaters to the top in both tests and competitively in all aspects of skating – Singles, Dance, and Pairs
  • Figure Skating Hall of Fame
  • Olympic Medalist (first for the United States in Ice Dance)
  • Best in the World in both the compulsory round and the final round (1975 World Championships)
  • Twice World Medalist – Bronze and Silver
  • Star of numerous TV specials, Broadway, movie, and on tours throughout the world
  • International Judge for the United States
  • Chair of several USFS governance committees and member of many others
  • Technical Specialist for USFS in Dance

Nathaniel Spencer Hess 


Nathaniel (AKA Nate/Nathan/Nathaniel) began skating in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and eventually went on to compete at National Figure Skating Championships Five times in Pairs and Dance at the Broadmoor Skating Club. He is the First Wyoming Native to compete as Nationals. He has coached for 11 years and has Golds in Freeskate, Moves in the Field, and Pairs and Silvers in Dance (Compulsory and Freedance). Additionally, Nathaniel has been a seasoned Professional Skater and has performed in shows around the world as a Principal, Semi-Principal, and Chorus skater.

Disciplines: Pairs, Dance, Adagio, Freestyle, Moves in the Field, Choreography and Transitions

Nathaniel will be available for lessons Monday January 30th through Saturday February 4th.

Valentine’s Recital


Below is the information regarding the Valentine’s Day Recital. If you are interested in performing please speak with your private instructor, your group instructor, or our Skating Director Brielle Francis.

  • The show is February 12th from 3:15pm-5:15pm
  • Registration is open at reception and will close February 1st or when full.
  • Registration Fee is $20
  • Tickets are $7
  • All skaters must be USFSA Member either with club or through Basic Skills.

Additional Information

*A Festival of Fantasy is open for ALL Skate Academy members to participate in INCLUDING our adult skaters, Tots and the beginner basic levels. The skaters are placed in a group with their Skate Academy level. Beginner adult skaters, we would like to REALLY encourage you to participate as this number will not be specific to the adult Theatre on Ice team and we are encouraging all new adult skaters to join us in this show
*There is a registration fee of $140.00 (Early Bird) or $160 (regular) to be in the show. This fee is non refundable and covers all the ice time for all rehearsals, shows, and group costume.
*Each person is required to skate in all 3 shows.
*This show will feature ice level seating. We will have two rows of seats on the ice all the way around the rink! Tickets will be available for purchase starting in February. The shows usually sell out so speak with family and friends EARLY.
*The participant or parent receives 1 complimentary ticket; not 1 per show, 1 ticket. As soon as I have a total cast list we can distribute the complimentary ticket. Once we have written “comp” on your ticket you can’t trade it for another performance. The comp ticket will ONLY be for the bleacher area. You may purchase as many tickets as you like for performances at regular prices as long as they are available.

USFS Test Session


SCI will host a USFS Test Session on February 20th starting at 6am. Registration will open via Entryeeze on January 30th at 7pm and will close February 13th or when full.

Theatre On Ice Fundraiser


Mr. Randy Davis “The Blade Guy” performs Custom Skate Sharpening and is currently running a fundraiser for our Theatre On Ice Teams. Mr. Randy has promised that for every skate sharpening performed at regular price, he will donate a portion back to out TOI group.
