The skaters are placed in a show group according to their skate academy class level at the moment of registration. Skater must list their current academy level upon registration. For example, if a skater is in Basic 5 academy class they must list Basic 5 level in spring show skating level box. Each participant’s level will be verified and adjusted accordingly prior to finalizing show groups. SA testing after registering for the show will not affect group placement in the show. Skaters must be current LTS USA or USFS members.
If you are unsure of what level you should sign up for, please contact Natalia at natalia@spacecoasticeplex.com
- Each skater is required to skate in all 3 shows.
- Skaters are required to attend all scheduled practices and rehearsals stated above. If a practice needs to be missed due to illness or vacation, the practice instructor needs to be notified in advance. Skaters with poor attendance will be dropped from the show and refunds or credit will not be given.
- Each skater is required to participate in both the Tech Run and Full Dress Rehearsal. Failure to participate will result in dismissal from show with no refund given.
This show will feature ice level seating! We will have two rows of seats on the ice all the way around the rink! Tickets will be available for purchase starting in April. The shows usually sell out so speak with family and friends and purchase tickets EARLY.
*The participant or parent receives 1 complimentary ticket; not 1 per show, 1 complimentary ticket total. As soon as I have a total cast list we can distribute the complimentary ticket. Once we have written “comp” on skater’s ticket they can not trade it for another performance. The comp ticket will ONLY be for the bleacher area. Parents may purchase as many tickets as they like for performances at regular prices as long as they are available.

Freestyle Sessions at SCI
Freestyle Sessions are for advanced figure skaters who are training for competitions. Skaters on freestyle sessions have access to the sound system so that they may play their competition music. During freestyle sessions, it is expected that all individuals are aware of other skaters and coaches. First right-of-way should be given to a skater performing their program to music. Second right-of-way should be given to skaters in private lessons.
To encourage independent working and proper training habits, parents are encouraged to sit in the stands and are not permitted to stand in the doorways. Skaters are expected to skate the entire session without getting on and off the ice. Getting on and off disrupts other skaters and their own practice. All doors must remain closed during the sessions. Doors may be opened to enter and exit but immediately closed after use.
Special video and harness lessons are available on freestyle sessions.
Checking in and payments: All skaters must sign in at the reception desk and pay for the session BEFORE entering the ice. Paying at the end of the session is NOT and option. Sticker system is enforced during Saturday morning sessions. Freestyle session sticker must be displayed in a visible spot of skaters clothing.
Minimum level requirement: Must have passed Basic 8 in SCI classes.
ATTENTION! All current as well as new figure skating freestyle participants must create an account with DASH. You can do so in person at the reception desk or click HERE.
IMPORTANT! Saturday morning freestyles sessions are divided by level as follows:
6:15-7:15am High Freestyle. Level criteria – Skaters passed Juvenile Moves in the Field and working on and/or passed Intermediate through Senior Moves in the Field tests and/or landing consistent double toe/salchow/loop/flip jumps and higher.
8:00-9:00am Low Freestyle. Level criteria – Skaters passed academy Basic 8 level through Freestyle 6 and/or have not tested any USFS Moves in the Field tests through passed Preliminary Moves in the Field and/or landing Axel through double loop jumps.
