Brevard Rockets Varsity B Champions!

The team was on fire when they took on the Volusia Stingrays in the 2018 CFHSHL Varsity B Championship at the Daytona Ice Arena.

Recap:

The game was scoreless until 5:37 of the 1st period when Volusia’s Zach Kimmel scored on the assist from Tyler Chafe. Brevard goalie and MVP, Dan Thew would deny all Stingray shots from this point forward in the game.

At 3:22 of the 1st, Will Patjens buried Brevard’s first goal of the night on the assist from Thomas Batchelor. A minute later, Donovan Dininny snuck another one past the goalie in a team effort with Lorenzo Bona and Will Patjens.

The relentless Rockets chalked up 2 more points late in the 2nd period on an unassisted goal by Zach Scorer at 3:31 and another Donovan Dininny point on a picture perfect pass from Will Patjens with a mere :30 left in the 2nd.

The 3rd period was a battle of the goalies with no pucks finding the back of the net despite a barrage of attempts on both nets.

Final score: Brevard 4, Volusia 1

What a great season! Thanks to all our fans and supporters! See you next season!
