Space Coast Open Championships
Our 2nd annual SCI Open Championship Competition was a fabulous success! For many of our Iceplex skaters it was their very first competition! Everyone had a great skate and tons of fun! The goodie bags were pretty awesome too!

Try Skating For FREE!
Join us this Saturday for our FREE Try it Skating Class 11:30am-12:00pm! We provide the skates and instructors. Be sure to arrive early as we take the first 20 participants that check in. Dress warm and comfortable. If you have any questions please contact Brielle@spacecoasticeplex.com
Halloween on Ice!!
Registration will begin September 1st!
Tickets will go on sale to the public October 1st!

Therapeutic Skating Team
The Space Coast Hurricanes Therapeutic Skating Team will provide one-on-one coaching to create an atmosphere that fosters creativity, learning, and fun.

Youth In-House Hockey
The Mites and Mini-Mites kicked off the season with two great games at the Space Coast Iceplex!

Mini – Mite Hockey
When: Tuesdays and Saturdays
Time:
- Tuesdays 5:45 pm – 6:45 pm
- Saturdays 3:15 pm – 4:15 pm
Half ice practice each day with half ice scrimmage games.
Requirements:
- Full hockey gear and stick
- Ages 9 and under
Sign up at reception – a class change form will need to be completed to reflect the addition of mini mites!

Dates: August 21st – February 23rd
Practices: Tuesdays at 5:45 pm – 6:45 pm
Games: Typically games will be played on Saturday’s at 3:15pm however select days and times may vary.
Tournaments will be played throughout the season at an additional cost.
No Games/Practices:
- November 24th – 25th – Thanksgiving
- December 22nd – 23rd – Christmas
- December 29th – 30th – New Years
Payment Plan:
- 1st Payment due August 21st – $200
- 2nd Payment due September 25th – $163.40
- 3rd Payment due October 25th – $137.60
- 4th Payment due November 25th – $129
One Payment: $600 due August 22nd or $30 off if paid in full by August 18th.
Reversible Jersey Required – $55 additional cost

Gold League Champions
Play Moore Hockey
Play Moore Hockey defeated the Kazmanian Devils 7-5 for the Kaz Cup! Paul Rigolini, Tyler Reith, Coogie Freedman and Nick Persichetti scored for Play Moore. BJ, Eric Wells and Andreas Johansson scored for Kazmanian Devils. Michael Robison was in net for Play Moore and Dan Kern was in net for The Kazmanian Devils.

Silver League Champions
7-Eleven
In an exciting 6-5 game. 7-Eleven won the Silver League Championship against the Rusty Narwhals. Goals for 7-Eleven were scored by Casey Chizek, Kevin Grelck, Steve Mattessich, and Melanie Johnson. Goals for Rusty Narwhals were scored by Al Mayo, James Butler, Matt Stanek and Justin Markwalter. The goaltenders were Tom Brooks for the Rusty Narwhals and Jason Bowman for 7-Eleven.

Over 40 League Champions
Custom Signs and Shirts
Custom Signs & Shirts defeated Executive Homes for the Over 40 League Championship. Goals for Custom Signs were scored my Richard Sneed, Geoff Carlton, Bill MrBrearty and Jeremy Nolan. Ed Maybury scored for Executive Homes. Goaltenders for each team were Spike Schneider for Executive Homes and Robert Lynch for Custom Signs & Shirts.
Bronze League Champions
Cigar Strings
Cigar Strings outlasted 7-Eleven by the score of 4-3 with goals from Mark Lorusso, Mark Quathamer, Brian Beaver and Brian Karr. 7-Eleven had goals scored by Ben Holmes, Anthomy Campanellie, and Jason Price. The winning goalie for Cigar Strings was Dan Murrell and Austin Mcclure was in net for 7-Eleven.
